Gas prices hold steady as Texans get ready for hot August
The average price per gallon for gasoline in Wichita Falls is $2.72 according to AAA Texas, and prices have held steady over the past week.
Prices statewide are up just one cent to $2.79 since this time last week, and are down 32 cents per gallon since this time last year. Nationally, prices are about 40 cents higher at a nationwide average of $3.16 per gallon.

Enbridge Inc. said it has reached a final investment decision on Clear Fork, a 600-megawatt (MW) solar project in Texas, with Meta Platforms, Inc. signing a long-term contract for 100 percent of the renewable output of the project.
