The U.S. federal government has approved a project for the construction of a deepwater oil terminal on the Texas coast, to be led by Sentinel Midstream. The Texas GulfLink facility would have an export capacity of 1 million barrels of crude daily.
Texas added 2,500 upstream oil and gas jobs in January 2026, bringing the total to 203,700 and signaling continued growth and economic strength in the state’s energy industry.
