On July 06, 2026, Energy Transfer has been awarded a $392 million judgment by a Texas court in a dispute with San Antonio’s CPS Energy regarding gas prices during the February 2021 Winter Storm Uri. The ruling includes $263.6 million for disputed charges, $119 million in interest, and $9.3 million in attorney fees.
“Crude oil prices are back at near pre-war levels, as if more than 100 days of conflict that shut one of the world’s most important shipping lanes and triggered the largest oil supply shock in modern history never happened,” the J.P. Morgan analysts stated in the report.
