Founding Partner and CEO
Lee graduated Cum Laude from Millsaps College with a B.A. in English in 1993. He then attended the University of Tulsa College of Law where his studies focused in the areas of Oil & Gas and Environmental Law. In two years, he received a Resources, Energy and Environmental Law degree and certificate of recognition from the National Energy Environmental Law and Policy Institute. Lee finished law school at Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law. While finishing his studies he interned with the Environmental Protection Agency in the Superfund litigation department.
Lee was board certified by the Texas Supreme Court in 1997. He practiced oil and gas law and has been involved in the industry for more than 18 years. He has been actively marketing oil and gas for independent producers for the past 20 years.
Partner and CIO
Luther graduated from Millsaps College with a B.A. in History in 1993. He then attended Louisiana State University earning his Master of Science degree, with a focus on finance and economics. Luther then went on to an investing career running and consulting to hedge funds, private equity funds and private family offices. During his 30-year investing career he has specialized in commodities trading, hedging programs, qualitative underwriting, deal-structuring and strategy. He has served as a board member or consultant to companies in a variety of industries including technology, finance, energy, commercial real estate and healthcare.
Luther has been a frequent speaker and panelist on various investment topics, including deal structure, family office best practices and alternative investing. He is a former board member of the Else School of Management and has been a contributing subject matter resource to journalists for the Wall Street Journal and CNBC.
